Project Story
The neighborhood of Dianeguela is facing an unprecedented public health disaster.
The lack of a wastewater drainage system and the clogging of gutters have turned the streets into swamps, creating an ideal environment for disease outbreaks.
“Dianeguela is living through an alarming situation: with every rainfall even light toilet and wastewater overflow and stagnate in the streets.
Residents are forced to live daily amidst unbearable odors and serious health risks.
Children sometimes have to jump over puddles of dirty water just to reach school.”
In response to this crisis, the Sikida Djon To Association is launching this community drainage and sanitation project.
The goal is to build functional drainage canals and organize a regular cleaning program with the participation of local youth.
Awareness campaigns on waste management will also accompany this initiative.
The collected funds will be used to purchase materials (cement, iron, sand, pipes), work tools (shovels, boots, gloves, wheelbarrows), and to compensate local volunteers.
This project will directly improve public health, sanitation, and dignity for the people of Dianeguela.
Each contributor will receive a detailed impact report with before/after photos.
